Viewing other air traffic

In FSX you can see other planes in flight via right clicking and selecting air traffic.
is there any way to do this in FS9?

Shift+W and Ctrl+Shift+W cycles the chase view.

;)

but be careful around complex payware scenery, it can mess up FS pretty good if you cycle to the airport.

Another option is to download the FS2004 Traffic Toolbox SDK

When installed you will have some new Traffic Toolbox items in the Tools menu, including the 'Explorer'.

The Explorer opens in a window with a sortable list all of the 'active' AI aircaft in your area and their present state. This is a nice tool for checking out ai flight plans from new or custom traffic files.

Right clicking any aircraft brings up a menu that includes viewing an AI, and many items to alter the aircrafts flight plan. You can even have any parked aircraft fly one of your saved flight plans.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
