FS9 or vid card issue?

I'd really appreciate a little guidance with this new issue. After flying 5-10 minutes at an average 22fps (normal for me), I start experiencing gradually deteriorating stuttering. Starts with a drop to 5-6 fps, then 0-1 fps, all within a minute or two. Scenery becomes blurry, refresh scenery in FS9 doesn't help. It's as if my card isn't releasing the info, just accumulating it until it can't handle any more. (FX5200 256k).
Can anyone suggest a potential fix for this, and is it an FS9 or FX5200 issue? Or both?
:)

I think its just because its hot. Happens to me, but i just activate emergency fans, and wait for it to cool, and start it up again.

I was going to suggest that it might be a heat issue, too. If you look at your vc's cooling solution, and it looks clean, and the fan is running like it should, it might be that your PSU is getting too long in the tooth to keep up with your machines demands. (a weak psu can cause a video card to run hot, I'm told)

Clip....

Have you done a scan for Trojans and/or Virus's lately...?

These little terrors can often take over your computer and slow "things" down... ;)...!

Paul...(another little terror).... 8-)....!

Thanks everyone. Paul, you nailed it. I scanned, found 4 issues and deleted them with Remove-it Pro. Problem solved. Now I get a potentially incompatible software error message when booting FS9: "SOARec.dll". I click no, don't load it and the sim boots to a complete default setting. I've changed the SOARec.dll to 0 value in the [old modules] FS9 cfg. files, we'll see what happens.

Thanks again everyone, glad it wasn't a temp issue!  ;)
