No point in us recommending anything. It all depends on what you like.

Absolutely. Please tell us first some aircraft category, so that we can recommend you something more precisely.

We could go through a long, extended list of some really amazing General Aviation Aircraft...

...only for you to come back and say you only like Commercial, Passenger, Jet propelled, incredibly shiny, Cigar Tubes!.... :'(...!

...or even War-Planes which Shoot and Bomb "things".... :o...!

What exactly, do you fancy?... ::)...!

Paul...G-BPLF....and Cessna 150's... :-*...!

In the FAQ - FS2400 here are a very good section with aircrafts and asential addons recomended.
All dependes what you want. I like cargo planes.... C-17, Hercules C-130, C-133 by Mike Stone, for exemple.. simple, easy to flight aircraft you can improve looking for panels and fixes, and so on...
Jet liners by Project Opensky are good stuff too...

Take a look at the addons made by Tim Conrad.
He has made a lot of very nice fighters, two helos (Hind and OH-6), and a few prop planes. He always provide a very nice and dynamic virtual cockpit in all of his creations.
You can find most of his addons here, or on SimOuthouse.com.

For one good helicopter, I would recommend Jordan Moore's Bell 412 helicopter.

and old prop planes

Hi
One very very nicw freeware plane is the Luscombe 8A by Lynn and Bill Lyons. You can get it on page 79 of the Props section.
It is a wonderfully nice model. Perfect for the slow, lesure flights around towns or mountian lakes (floats are in the package). The good sounds of the Continental engine are very pleasing while puttering around. There is a pretty girl that can accompany you too ;)
The flight model is beautiful. It nearly flys itself (much like the real ones). Takeoffs and landings are very much like the real plane too.

I really enjoy this one and fly it fairly often. It is one of the first planes I install to a fresh FS9.

There are a number of models that are as nice as the 8A, for all categories of planes. All the ones in this thread are very good ones to have. Sometimes you just have to try a few to see if it's what you were hoping for. Just thought I would offer a sweet old prop ;)

Forgot to mention. If you try this one, find the 'easter egg'. ;D
