Radio Tuning Question

Ok, the numbers on the right are stand-by frequency.

And the numbers on the left are the active frequency.

And the stand-by numbers are the 'hot-spot' where the frequencies are changed.

But in some aircraft the active numbers change instead of the stand-by numbers.

How come? Why the difference between aircraft?

How can I make ALL aircraft change the stand-by numbers?

Some people will install radios like that into an aircraft panel, but forget to enable the standby frequency in the aircraft.cfg file.

See how it's enabled in the Default Boeing 737? If the radio gauges support a standby frequency, ensure these circled values are changed from a '0' to a '1'

I thought that was it, and that brings up another question

The radios in some aircraft I d/l will not tune at all. If I switch that section with another aircraft it works fine.

What numbers in there make it work, or not work?

I should have switched them all with the default ones, but I switched with some add-ons, and they're all mixed up now  ;D

They both have the same information.

...mmm.....I just substituted both of your radio settings in turn into a 737 400 and both worked the standby as normal......so don't see any reason why yours should be different........there is no apparent difference in the two(apart from the spacing which shouldn't matter)

In the absence of a solution...just use the one that works I'd say.........commoner

Allen...I've seen something like this happen before..

Double check that copy and paste didn't drop the leading bracket on the section  header.

This would cause the sim to ignore the section, and in the case of the Radio section everything  defaults to =1,0
