I have just had a hard drive 'explode', and had the tech come an put anew one in last week. Its a fresh install of FS9 and everything, my last hard drive ran vista and this has XP so im stoked. However, i was installing FS9 last night and put FS9, Real Environment Pro, and PMDG 737 on it before i even started up the flight sim for the first time. Now i have these weird textures showing which are not right. I uninstalled the whole thing and reinstalled it and its still doing it? Could there be some residual files causing problems with RE pro?

Pic of whats wrong:

I THINK, it's important to start the sim at least once before adding any extra stuff, in order for FS9 to finish it's installation. Textures need to decompress, and scenery configs need to be written, etc.

Uninstall the sim, delete the FS9 game folder ( to remove the addons that will be left behind after the uninstall process), then try it again. This time,

start the sim at least once

Wise words John ... wise words.

And if you're applying the 9.1 update then do that from WITHIN your main FS9 folder, else you will mess up a lot of files. Even in a freshly installed sim ...
