How do i sustain an extremely powerful smoothly running FS9?

I have 3GB RAM
ATI Radeon X1600 Series GFX card with latest drivers downloaded
i have defragmented my pc and done a disk clean-up but im still not getting a smooth running sim, its still very jumpy and textures for ai planes take time loading up! i do use WOAI and have over 200 airlines operating, but ive seen so many videos and i know that its possible to get a very good smooth sim!!! but how!?!?

Check this posting out........ you can't get better coaching for setting up XP to run games and such.  PAY ATTENTION to all the specifics that NickN gives.... they are important details:
