Thomas Kwong Installation...Help?!

Postby Bradley27 » Sat May 03, 2008 4:16 pm

FS2004, VHHH HONG KONG INTL

There are 2 folders, "af_lc" & "airport", thats fine but when i go into the "airport" folder there are now 4 folders!!!
"Cities, Vhhh_tk, vhhh2005, vhhh2005b" 2 of which are empty anyway!!!!!

I really havent a clue as to what i need to do, it seems alittle different to the normal activate in the scenery manager way of things

Anyone able to assist?

I do have the 9Dragons Kai Tak V2 running as well,

That is kind of odd. But according to the docs:

1. Unzip "airport.zip" to: Flight Simulator 9\scenery
(This is the main airport scenery. Choose Yes when prompted to overwrite)

So maybe it's best not to try and figure out why it seems odd and just do what the author says...

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Interesting, I find it weird because there are 2 folders that are completely empty, plus if im to drag the cities folder into my fs2004 directory it will overwrite everything else in there too!!!!

I think the empty folders may just be leftovers from the authors project, a product of careless packaging. They could be discarded.

Dropping the 'cities' folder onto the ..\FS2004\Scenery\ folder will replace the ..\cities\Hong Kong\texture\ files as I explained above plus add the \texture_old\ folder which is a backup of the original textures. It won't mess with anything else.

But that's academic
