I am not a computer genius so I need some help.

I have been trying to install a Cascade Airways BAC 1-11 on to FS 2004.

I have read the instructions on how to download the textures and install them along with the BAC 1-11 400 model by David Maltby but still no luck.

Is there anyone that can help me ?

Thanks

First of all,In your Cascade Airways BAC 1-11 Texture Download, you should have a folder called "Texture",right click on the "Texture" folder, and then select "copy",don't do anything else yet.

Now open your BAC 1-11 400 model by David Maltby File you just downloaded, now there should be one folder called something like "BAC 1-11",it'll most likely have a different name, but I'm just using that name as an example, double click that folder and inside you should find folders called Model,Sound,Panel,Aircraft.cfg,Air File.

Now remember when we copied the BAC Cascade Airways Texture folder,Simply right click inside the folder "BAC 1-11 400 by David Maltby",where we have our Model,Sound,Panel,Aircraft.cfg,Air file.
folders, and select paste, now inside your BAC 1-11 400 model by David Maltby you should have these folders,Texture,Sound,Model,Panel,Aircraft.cfg, air file.

Now close the BAC 1-11 400 model by David Maltby folder, and extract it to a folder on the Desktop preferably "Temporary Downloads"
simply drag and drop the BAC 1-11 400 model by David Maltby folder from Temporary Downloads into your FS2004 Aircraft folder at C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft.

Hope it helps. :) :)

Well I guess I am just too dumb to figure this out...

I can find the Cascade textures but I cant find the BAC 1-11 400 textures.

When I unzip the BAC 400 folder all I find is an application file which wants to install the 400 onto fs 2004. I cant find a texture file.

Do I install the BAC on to fs 2004 an they try to add the Cascade textures.

Instead of saving the BAC 1-11 files should I just run each file when I open it from the simviation website.

Sorry for being so stupid

Yes. You will have to successfully install the base model before adding textures to it.

OK... I installed the BAC1-11 on to fs 2004, found the BAC 1-11 400 file and was able to put the Cascade textures in to that file.

I tryed reloading the file on to fs 2004 but the Cascade textures did not move over to the fs 2004. The original 7 aircraft textures that came with the BAC 1-11 file are there but no Cascade.

I know I am missing something...

First of all, did you try the BAC 1-11 400 in FS2004? If that works then the next step would be to paste the Texture.xxx folder from the Cascade zipfile into the main folder of the BAC 1-11 400 alongside the existing texture folders. Finally, you will need to edit Aircraft.cfg to recognise the new variation.

If you tell me exactly where to download this Cascade repaint I can check it out for you & give more specific instructions.
