Okay, I'm stumped now...constant yawing

So, for a long time, I've been experiencing a constant yaw (direction depending on the aircraft) of the aircraft in FS9. This happens with all of them (default & addon).
I've double checked my realism settings, and to test I've turned all the flight settings to off (so no gyro, torque, etc). That didn't help.
The next thing I did was check the calibration of my joystick. I've manipulated the dead zone, the sensitivities, I've even set it so the yaw axis was essentially "off". That didn't help.
So, I deleted the config file and let FS9 construct a new one. This also didn't help.
So, next thing I did was try uninstall/reinstall last night. This didn't help either, but I'm also not sure that I did the uninstall correctly. I used the uninstall feature in the FS9 program itself, and made sure to click on the box asking if I wanted to delete my "saved files, etc".
After the reinstall, I booted up the sim and noticed all my addon a/c were still in the drop down boxes (the main reason I dont think I really uninstalled everything).
Bottomline, after doing all the above, I still have this constant yawing with my aircraft. When I'm sitting on the runway, and after I power up and start rolling, once I hit about 35-50 IAS the plane will want to yaw to the left or right. This happens with all the realism settings turned down, joystick calibrated correctly, and with no input at all on the stick.
I tested FSX as well to see if I experienced the same problem, I dont.
Suggestions???

If you've neutralized P-factor (hope you turned it back on for realism).. and are sure you've got the joystick calibrated properly... the only thing left is weather. Even a slight wind will cause some yawing. Try clearing all weather.

Uninstalling FS will only remove default files so this is quite normal. If you want to start from scratch you need to manually delete what's left in the FS9 directory before reinstalling it.

Thanks for the quick reply fellas.
@ Brett, yeah I'm sure its not the weather. No matter what the weather is the "yaw rate" is always the same. Also, by the time I get up to speed for take-off I have to have the stick completely twisted the opposite direction of my yaw to even keep the plane going straight, yet the plane is still slightly side ways.
Also, I've zoomed in on the tail of the plane from spot view to see if the rudder was point in the correct direction....it's always straight - as if there should be no yaw at all, yet there is. This was the biggest reason calibration of the stick wasn't my primary concern. If it was calibration the the rudder would have been pointed towards the left for left yaw (for example), but as I mentioned, it remains straight with no stick input.
@Hagger, thanks I'll try that tonight. Just to clarify, I should run the FS uninstall, then go about deleting what's left in the directory, correct?

Correct*, although I doubt this will fix your problem. If your joystick is calibrated & working properly I can't think what can be causing it. Is the yaw always in the same direction?
One thought. Do you have any other control devices connected?
*PS. You would also have to manually delete fs9.cfg.

Well, it always yaws, but not always in the same direction.
It depends on the plane actually. For example, if I'm flying the skyhawk, it pulls to the left. If I fly Milton's D-18 it actually pulls to the right. :o
It varies by plane, but it always happens.
Also, I have no other control devices plugged in...well there's my mouse, but I dont think that would be the issue.
I'm about 99.999985% sure it has nothing to due with calibration because of the things I said above about messing with my sticks settings. Also, the problem doesn't exist in FSX, nor does it exist in the other sims I fly (Falcon 4.0AF, WoE, & WoV). It only happens in FS9.
I'd just stick with FSX, but the 10-12 frames I get with medium-high settings just isn't satisfactory for my simming pleasure. I'm still very happy with what FS9 has to offer - assuming I can get this resolved...otherwise, I may be postponing my MS Flight Simming for a while until my comp can handle FSX satisfactorily

Thanks again for your input, gents.

I used to have this problem, but a re-install sorted it out for me. However, that was a complete re-install (a re-formatting of the HDD). I'm sure there's an easier way though.
Try replacing the [REALISM] section in your FS9.cfg with this:
[REALISM]
INDASPD=0
PFactor=1.000000
Torque=1.000000
GyroEffect=1.000000
CrashTolerance=1.000000
General=1.000000
UnlimitedFuel=True
TrueAirspeed=False
AutoCoord=True
RealMixture=True
StressDamage=False
GEffect=False
ManualLights=True
GyroDrift=False
CrashWithDyn=False
CrashDetection=0

Thanks again fellas,
Well, I did another uninstall, this time also deleted the FS9 directory that was left, reinstalled and all seems to be working as it should.

You can change the rudder trim.
For reasons I can't explain sometimes the rudeer trim just gets "off" for various flights. Look up the keyboard commands and adust it until you are flying straight.

Also, you don't say what kind of joystick you're using.
But you say it only does that in FS9, and that all is well now.
Good.
I experienced strange things too, but then again I bought a Saitek Cyborg Evo Force stick that what is called a "self-calibrating" stick.
Never heard of such a thing, but it would 'wander' all over the place until I went to their forums and found that when entering a game I would have to put the stick thru all the motions to "self-calibrate" itself.
Else it would....well you get my point.
Its an 'advanced' feature I could live without.
Nothing like being launched into an online combat melee and have to immediately do some wierd looking maneuvers to calibrate the darn thing.

But that wasn't your problem.
I just post this information should anybody else experience this anomoly.
I have the same Joystick, and the same thing happens to me....

...!
You put you foot to the floor at the start of the Runway, and you immediately shoot off in another direction altogether...

...!
Very strange, and annoying. It never happened with any of my previous Joysticks!
Otherwise it is an excellent Joystick!
It requires operating the 'Stick through all its movements, including the Throttle, immediately after loading the Flight Sim...
...and before taking off...

Are you sure you haven't saved your default flight with the autopilot on?

The key strokes for adjusting rudder trim are as follows:
Cntrl + Num Pad 0 for left.
Cntrl + Num Pad Enter for right.

Re the Cyborg Evo joystick self calibration, surely this is a good feature simulating part of the preflight check for full and free movement of all controls?

[b]Touche' [I think that's Lithuanian for "Ya got me there!!"]
And I'm the guy who's always preaching the "checklists".
Thanks for the cold water in the face..
