Not sure what your problem is but all you should have to do is once the aircraft is in FS2004 click open MY COMPUTER open the A340 folder then open the folder of the aircraft that has the panel you wish to use click on the panel folder of the aircraft you want to copy select copy than click on the A340 folder and click paste it should tell you that a panel folder all ready exist click over write and that should do the trick. 8-)

Which panel are you trying to install? Can you post a link so I can try it.

A340 and MD-80-No avionics; MD-80-could not access throttle quadrant, overhead, and other instruments. Serious oversight by developers. Might there be fixes forthcoming anytime soon? I tried assigning Ctrl+p to the avioninc master switch in Settings-did not work.

Did you open the panel folder of the A340 and make sure that the panel is not aliased to some other folder. I know some of the pay ware aircraft do this they put the panels in a separate folder and alias them. with a line like   [fltsim]
alias=pssab-pro\panel.340
