Cockpit Glass

Postby sammach » Tue Mar 04, 2008 7:06 am

The aircraft in question is the De Havalland Vampire Page 76, Military, FS2004
I have downloaded and installed above aircraft, all is well except the outline of the cockpit glass doe not show, therby giving the impresion of an open cockpit.
Is there a quick fix ?

The only thing that I can think of that might fix it would affect all other aircraft in your sim. Download a new envmap texture file like this one: http://www.simviation.com/fs2004misc20.htm

I personally use one from Real Environment Pro, and it affects/enhances the appearance of glass and metallic surfaces on aircraft.

**Back up your original texture first!!!!**

Thanks, Sean TK for your time and suggestion,
I have to say that the change of texture as not made much difference to glass, but it certainly has to the aircraft paintwork, its given a reflective sheen, I think I will keep it in the folder, I have had similar problems with other a/c and have deleted them, i will now install them and see if the effect as improved.

Thanks again, and thanks for introducing me to the Misc section, there are some interesting downloads...............................sammach ... Derbyshire UK

No problem!  ;)

Hopefully you'll find some old aircraft that you can use again with this new texture!
