Kneeboard

Is there any way in the Kneeboard or anywhere else where you can input a web address to check for reference info such as METAR's or other weather conditions online while in flight?? (other than squawbox, squawkwin, Vatsim, etc..)

There are web browsers that can be installed as modules in FS9... check the Utilities downloads section.

Hi Paintwagon...not a big problem........look in your main Aircraft folder for an html file called kneeboard keys.......

Right click and select Open with Notepad....

At the bottom of the page, add this line...

METAR

Close and click Yes to save the changes..

This will  in this case leave a link on the kneeboard (letter A icon) to the Metars web page......Look at the bottom of the page.

Any number of such links can be added using this format

The URL to a website goes between the " " marks and the name(any name you want), where it now says METAR.

To reset the page you will have to click on another icon... say the Check mark then the A icon again....or close the kneeboard and open it again.......and as the page is too big for the little Kneeboard use the scroll bars to look at all the page.

Hope you find this of some use....commoner ;)

You can link to files and folders as well as the web pages..links to  to text files you have made with your own info can be handy......like this to the FS9 Directory.......
