Transfer FS9 to new PC?

I am currently running FS 2004 on one of my older computers. I will be getting a new PC in a few weeks. I will be installing FS 2004 onto that new PC, but I do not relish the task of installing all my aircraft again. Transfering the aircraft folders from one PC to another would be easy. But, since I also had to install gauges, sounds, effects, etc, for many of my aircraft it would be nice to transfer the Gauges folder, Effects, Modules, Sound, etc.. over to the new PC after FS2004 is installed. Will this work out OK? Could I just copy over to the new PC the entire Flight Simulator 9 folder from here?
E:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9
Also, there is another FS location:
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9
that has some folders and files, such as fs9.cfg
Can this FS9 folder be migrated over to the new PC as well?

You're better off installing FS9 on that new PC...Burn the aircraft, gauges, etc etc onto disks and replace them as you go...The method you suggest may also work, but when I tried it, FS would fire up and crash...I tried the registry fixes and all, but nothing worked :-/

It's really the best way- start over.
But you can easily overwrite all your modified folders once the install's done.
