Another Texture problem

Postby Kaworu » Mon Jan 21, 2008 1:30 pm

Okay, here we go again. Another texture display problem. Man, these appear faster and more often the rabbits, you know?!?

I just installed the GREAT Dreamfleet Beech A36. It's beautiful, not to mention the GREAT avionics included!

As I'm coming in on approach to Punta Gorda Florida, all textures except for the ones on the exterior of the aircraft, decrease in quality. I let the pictures talk.

(what it should look like on top, what they actually look like below)

Ground is also affected.

Naturally, those are highly compressed as this ain't a contest, but they get the point across.

Here's the kicker...to get the shots of how it should look, I had too minimize and then restore FS9. Then, for about 1.5 seconds after I un-pause it, the textures hold fine. Then, everything turns gray (like untextured models). Then, the textures reload, but in the extremely low quality as seen above.

>:( >:( >:(

BTW, I just installed the A36 yesterday. It didn't cause problems when I started my flight in Delaware Mun, near my hometown. Thanks!

Look at your signature.
How many textures do you think you can cache with a mere 64 MB VRAM?  ;)

I know, I know. But why so sudden? I fly this aircraft fine all day, landing at 4 airports, then at the end of the day, it decides to quit on me.

Blahhhh. I'm gonna throw some money at this thing soon, no need to point out my hopeless situation in hardware.

You were probably approaching a memory intensive area.

You're right. I just don't remember what is near there that I have added. The nearest city is Ft.Myers, but that's about 40 miles away. Southwest Florida International is about the same distance, maybe a little further. Oh well, like I said, soon, I'm gonna have to $$$ to upgrade the GC.  ::)
