The tower is a little impatient

Postby FridayChild » Sat Jan 12, 2008 8:48 am

When I land and the tower prompts me to turn next taxiway or to vacate runway when able, I find that it's a little too impatient in doing so. I keep a reasonable pace and go for the next taxiway, but still the tower prompts me at least twice, which is a bit annoying. Is there a way to increase the interval between those calls?

Yes.
Turn off the radio.
;)

I have found that in FS9 as in real life, some controllers are more patient than others... and of course in both cases it may depend on other traffic.

I can't advise you on editing the AI ATC program, but maybe you just have a lot of traffic behind you or waiting to take off when this happens?

I say...

"Give it some gas Grandma!"  ;) ;)

It's just easier to hustle off the runway. maybe let the aircraft roll at 70 knots or so for a few seconds, then hit the breaks again when you get close to a taxiway. Not that realistic, but it works.

I used to do 50KIAS...I'd usually choose taxiway's that were longer than others...I also set the AI to roll out at 35KIAS... :P

If you use Editvoicepack it eliminates the "Vacate Runway" instruction

It does this regardless of the amount of both types of traffic.
