unlimited FPS is just a waste of resources.

Keep it locked at 25 or 30.

That all depends on who you ask. I've run my sim with the target frame rate locked at 25+, and set to unlimited. Setting it to unlimited may use more resources, but on my system, the result is a much smoother sim. It really all depends on your hardware, and how you have your FS9.cfg set up.

...mmm.....agree entirely, even 20 is ample for our human eyes to appreciate smooth action..........set to unlimited and the sim will waste precious resources looking to get the highest frame rates it can. Ok over open seascapes maybe but over cities and airports you could get trouble with virtual memory having to be extensively used to get these high rates. If your ego won't let you do this then up your virtual memory some.........commoner :D

25 is considered decent enough for the human eye too see 'smooth' on-screen action. We can detect motion up too 10 frames per second before our brains says nah too the foolery. Our eyes can detect up too roughly 72 frames per second, seeing faster when looking through the sides of the eye(has something too do with the cones and rods build up inside our eye). Nowadays modern games als support those key refreshrates, 60, 70, 72, 75, and up. For flightsimulator, 25 frames is more then enough, for a fast paced action game it isnt.
