Did you enable autothrottle?
Check the aircraft.cfg:
autothrottle_available=1 <-- 1 enable, 0 autothrottle isn't availabe on aircraft
autothrottle_arming_required=1 <-- 1 you have to enable autothrottle to use it, 0 no need to enable autothrottle.
Cheers,
Fabian

i changed them! still no difference. I can press the speed hold button but it has no effect at all, i can still increase and decrease the throttle!

To what?
For one botton activation it should be:
autothrottle_available=1
autothrottle_arming_required=0
BTW: Which panel / model are we talking about, that could it make a bit easier for me....

The panel I have comes with Emirates A330 Aircraft that I downloaded, Its a great panel, I think its Ken Mitchell's A330 panel.

Maybe you just point me to the file so I can see it myself / see what the problem is?

OK I use the same panel for a long time....,
Just to make sure it's not a usage problem:

1st: enable autothrottle
2nd: enable spd hold.
On which aircraft do you have the problems? I'm using that panel on the Posky A330 series....
Cheers,
Fabian
