g2d.dll error, any NEW ideas?

This is a nightmare! I've just spend the best part of a month rebuilding my system and re installing my FS9. Now, I can't fly for more than a few minutes without a CTD!! :'(

This is the error report;

AppName: fs9.exe       AppVer: 9.1.0.40901       ModName: g2d.dll
ModVer: 9.1.0.40901       Offset: 000a6ee5

Now, obviously, i've searched all over the internet but all I can find are things that don't work or people reporting the problem but never posting a solution!!

Yes, i've got (as you can see) the 9.1 patch.

Yes, i've updated my drivers.

Yes, it happens anywhere with any aircraft. Within 2-180 mins, at some point it will crash with this report, whether I be in the default Cessna or a Tristar.

ANY help VERY gratefully recieved, here are my specs;

Win XP pro SP2, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000, 2 GB DDR2 RAM, 250 GB SATA HD, ATI 512mb HD2600 pro Card

OK lets see...

From Microsoft: disable video caching or shadowing in the BIOS settings for your computer.

Erros might be missing default textures. What scenery do you have installed? Looking for payware.

The only similar thing I can find in my BIOS is,

"System BIOS Cacheable" which was already disabled anyway. Is that it?

On a German flightsim forum someone had the same problem.
He copied an old Version from CD and it worked again.

Also you might consider heat problems / too hot GPU / CPU / system. I know it's winter, but you never know.

Cheers,
Fabian

Ok, I believe I have sorted this. It was my fault, I had a conflicting scenery file after my 'dodgy reinstal' of FS9, one of the default files that should have been removed had been reinserted due to my fresh reinstall.   ::)
