I have used the CH Throttle Quadrant for years on all types of aircraft.    Recently, I have had trouble with the throttle axis which, occasionally, will not hold a throttle setting.     For example, on take off at full throttle, I get the specified manifold pressure.     Halfway down the runway, still at full throttle, the manifold pressure drops of to about 1/2 to 2/3 value.     Thereafter, the throttle control becomes inoperative and the manifold pressure becomes jittery.      I can't decide where the problem lies - with the controller or with the aircraft.    The problem occurs with all aircraft but not all the time.     Does anyone have any ideas?

It could be something to do with the actually variable resistor in the throttle. Have you opened up the throttle to take a look and also check for dry joints?

That definately sounds like a dirty potentiometer.
