Seriously, how do I get rid of these little blighters?

Go to realism settings and uncheck show flying tips.

And to ensure they don't come back, what FS9.cfg code needs some deletion?

Simple, go into the aircraft realism settings, and uncheck the 'Show Flying Tips' option in the upper left hand corner of the window...

I've never had it come back on. (unless I've re-installed)
