Project airbus N1 readings?

Does anyone who flies this aircraft know why the N1 readings wont exceed 92%.  I love this plane but cant figure out what is wrong with the N1.  Tried several panels, all the same.  Thanks for any help.  Todd

I fly the Project Airbus in FSX... I have the IAE V2500 Jetstar version and it does go over 92%. If you are using a CFM version they may have made it under powered or thats how it is in the real. It is all to do with the .air file not the panel.

92% N1 sounds like a very reasonable take-off setting (ie something you'd expect in a real Airbus)
The maximum thrust derate is 25% so you are just fine  :)

Remember that there are VERY few occations where you'd actually need all those 100+ % N1, so why have more wear and tear on the engines than necessary.

I agree that 92% is fine for take off, but what about go around situations and such?  I dont have any airliners in my collection that are limited on their own to 92%, only payware that actually simulates a derated thrust setting.  Im just wondering if is a throttle or XML gauge issue.  I doubt they would limit the N1 in the airfile.  Todd

In the [autopilot] line in the aircraft.cfg, you'll find

autothrottle_max_rpm=                  96.5

which is the setting in the cfg file of my Project Airbus 320, so the autopilot will limit the N1 at this value. Check yours - perhaps it is set lower.

My PA 320 has no trouble getting past 92 with manual throttle setting.

Can you tell me what your idle readings are?  Mine are 21% and 2.2 on the fuel burn rate.  My air file says the same thing as yours.  Has to be a recognition thing with one of the files.  Todd

Still no resolution to my problem.  Tried different engine variations and the same thing.  Tried resetting the values in FSUIPC and still no change.  Its like the min and max throttle settings are too high and too low.  I fixed this on another plane a while back, but can remember how.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  Todd

try hitting F4 whenever you need full throttle. My throttle sometimes has a problem with reading the 100% throttle setting. I firewall the throttle and the N1 readings aren't what they should be and then i  hit F4 and it goes to max

I tried that because it usually works and then I know its a throttle calibration, but no dice with this plane.  All the other planes work fine.  It has to be one of the gauges not responding right to throttle input.  What are you min N1 ratings and fuel burn?  I think mine are too high, suggesting that the max and mins are off.  Thanks, Todd
