Beach surf

Hi,
Can anyone assist me with this problem?.
When flying over area where waves are crashing on to the beach, instead of the foaming water that one normally associates with this, the foam appears as solid white tiles. Whatever I try is to no avail. I am not too experienced with settings so I can only assume mine are incorrect.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thnks,
Norman.

The likely cause is some add-on has overwritten or removed file(s) for the wave effect. ( the most likely is ''fx_swoosh.bmp', if it is missing or overwritten with the file from FS2002 you'll get the white rectangles)

Look in the ....\Flight Simulator 9\Effects\ folder for the file---
'fx_waves.fx' file, should be 3KB-2/28/03

Look in the ....\Flight Simulator 9\Effects\texture\ folder for the files----
'fx_swoosh.bmp', should be 342KB-2/28/03

Hi Allen_Z,
Many thanks for your reply. Having a problem in as much as when I click on 'Download' a window appears requesting my User Name and Password. I only have those that I log into the forum. This is rejected and the window reappears. Entering the same information meets with the same response. On closing the window there is a page stating that the requested page cannot be found. I cannot think what I might be doing wrong.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Norman.

It's a dead link. You could report it in the appropriate forum so it can be fixed. Site Problems & Broken Links

In the meantime try the similar file above it by Luiz Alvarenga.

PS. I just noticed that one is for FSX only. Not sure if it works in FS9.
