Am I alone?

First off I could not find anywhere to post this thread so I choose here.

Here goes.

I'm kinda fed up with it all, when ever I come to this site its usually to see whats going on. But I see the same ol stuff. Heavies and military, hevies and military. You rarley come across anyone flying GA anymore; the PA-31's,B190's,B200,C90. you get the point. I mean really when are you going to fly a 737 or 757? (ATP guys aside) then a Piper? Myslef I make it 100% real no more no less. I have yet to find a VA who has traning commitments, I.E 6 months or a year. Places were you have to take a check ride to be Qualified in the type, or a training place that will give you a type rating. Companys that only fly on VATSIM and use strict company procedures. Most of the ones out there are fly what you like when you want. Which is in the least to say unrealistic.

Looking for people who use /A has there Eqt suffix. or any other like type. I do not know how to use an FMS cause none of my aircraft have them. But I can fly cross counrty on Low altutidue routes and shoot an ILS,LDA or a DME Arc. I'm guessing I'm asking where are the Aviation people at?

Everyone has their own ways of flying and different aircraft. There aren't many people willing to make those models and repaint them. If you don't like SimV, go somewhere else. I'm sure if you Googled those airceafts you could find what you are looking for. It's FREEware, don't be picky, it's all in time.

I'm not looking for a certin aircrat. Just people who fly the smaller stuff. Instead of everyone who flys the "Airliners" and Military stuff.

scroll down to the multiplayer section and check out one of the tours.....they generally run in the evenings at weekends and involve GA hopping around a certain area....

Currently theres a California tour on Saturday, and a South America tour on Sunday....take a look at one of the threads and find the server and details and feel free to join....the more the merrier :)

We usually use default GA aircraft....the Baron is a popular choice as is the 172 and 182....:)

I fly GA almost 99% of the time, in fact nearly every flight I do is in the same 182Q or 206C with the same paint scheme, for this reason I don't post many shots these days as I'm sure all of my posts would look the same to most people. As Mic has said, check out the Multiplayer forum & join one of the tours, they are almost all done in GA & the guys are a great bunch to fly with.

Most of my flights in & out of the Alaskan settlements, camps & hunting lodges are done using VFR & constant reference to the area charts (on a wireless laptop), I also use NDB's where possible. (It's amazing what you can learn when you use the actual charts for the area your in).

Here's a couple of my GA flights if your interested:

182Q piccies

206C Piccies

If your interested in using charts, then I use this site: http://skyvector.com/

Don't give up on the GA, I feel the same about seeing all the bus driving pictures.

No, you are not alone...;)...

Like TSC, I ALWAYS fly General Aviation piston props in FS 2004....

Cessna 172, 182S, 182RG, Beech Baron 58 Twin, etc.... 8-)...!

I have no interest whatsoever in Commercial Jets or modern Military aircraft!

...but a low-and-slow Sunday afternoon flight in a Flexwing or Ultralight, always lights my fire... :)...!

The Week-end, Sat/Sun Tours are classic examples of enjoyable Tours in GA, piston prop aircraft.

Being long retired, I spend most of my time Touring my favourite areas in GA piston prop Aircraft in FS 2004, and at the same time design my own airfield scenery in those areas, with the aid of certain programs.

I'm always on the look-out for fellow GA Pilots, but I'm afraid there are very few on them around on most of the Flight Sim Sites I frequent.... :'(...!

The GA World is a lonely old World, with the current batch of 11-year-olds flying Boeing 747's and Lockheed Martin F-22's... :o...!

F....Low and Slow, is the way to go!.....(As the Actress said to the Bishop..;)..)... 8-)...!

Real airplanes have fixed gear, two wings held together with lots of string, and metal is only used for the engine, basic hardware, and fittings.

Same here. Most of the time I fly my C182RG around Alaska or the Caribbean Islands. Or if possible at the weekend tours online.

Crash ;) (nothing beats the sound of a prop)

It's true, I mostly fly agile jets like Eurofighter, Lightning II (JSF) or a MiG-29.  :-/
But sometimes I just go back into the Mooney Bravo with it's powerful Porsche Motor... or take the pilot's seat of a Beech King Air....  ;)

I still like flying slow and small props!  :)

best,
rev

I think it's true that most of the simmers posting here are keen on fighters and heavies, but the "bug smasher" crowd is well-represented here (myself included).

Some advice: if you don't see enough of that kind of flying discussed here, just do some of that kind of flying, then tell us about it. ;D
