Looking for some Helicopter piloting advise

Hey all,

I've recently started getting into piloting helicopters in FS9. I find that I constantly have to maintain a bit of "yaw" input in my flight controls to keep the copter heading straight. Otherwise, it just wants to "yaw" to the left (if i'm recalling correctly). I understand this is due to the torque of the rotor blades. However, surely there is some way to control this/compensate for without having to constantly keep my flight stick twisted for yaw input.

How do you helicopter pilots fly and maintain straight flight?

Hope the above made some sense  ;D

Go there and ask that. It's a VERY good heli site!!

Yes you must always compensate for rotor torque in FS. Auto-rudder and rudder trim are not effective on copters. The good news is that with the proper settings, stick sensitivities and the like, you minimize the effort required. Also, there is an AP available for choppers
