Realisitic and accurate scenery for fs2004

Postby hosseing » Wed Oct 24, 2007 1:30 pm

Hi All,

I really like scenery add ons ( Both realistic as well as accurate ); I'dd like to fly low and slow and pay visits to the places I have been before ( hence the need for accuracy ). I'd appreciate if you'd tell me whats the best of these kinds ( both payware as well as freeware).

Thanks
ps : this is for FS2004 of course.

I also like road/beach/..  traffic too but not willing to compromise a lot of performance hit. Below is my system spec:

-Intel Dual core 2.6Ghz
-1M RAM
-Radeon mobility: 256G memory
-XP

If low & slow is your thing then you can't do much better than the payware Misty Fjords & Tongass Fjords packages by Holger Sandmann, you can also flesh them out with freeware addons like the 'Stikine Icefields Research Program' & 'Glacier Bay V2'

Have a look at the Misty Moorings website for some excellent freeware addons to go with the Misty & Tongass Fjords pacakges - (have a look in the 'Gallery' to see what the Misty Fjords stuff will give you).

Hope this helps,

TSC.

1.      Flight Environment
2.      Ultimate Terrain USA, Europe, Canada, properly patched with updates
3.      Qlrp4ut for Ultimate Terrain which corrects and adds bridge and other elements to UT that are out of place or missed.
4.      Ground Environment
5.      FS Genesis World -and- location mesh (get the entire enchilada)
6.      FS Genesis USA landclass (must be configured correctly for UT use.. see UT directions)
7.      Add-ons like what were mentioned above. Anything by Holger Sandman is GOLD
8.      All of the above properly configured and installed correctly.

The rest is in finding the add-ons for the areas you wish to fly. There are quite a few for the Pacific NW, Vancouver, BC and Alaska

Many times add-ons like Holger
