Pesky Start-Up's...

Is there anyway at all to bypass the startup procedures some developers implement? I hate just sitting there pushing buttons when I'm in the mood for a quick flight...CTRL+E is simple and to the point...I'm guessing it might be something in the aircraft.cfg...Unless of course it's been hard coded into the model itself...Can someone help me out?

Thanks! :)

I'm pretty sure its about the panel Ash, Change that (to either a default or similar simple one) and you should be away  ;)

Good luck,
Alex

Well, the Ready for Pushback 747 has that feature where once you shut down the engine, you must start them according to proper startup techniques... ;)

@Alex: I could try that, thanks! ;)

...mmm.....well I thought maybe that you aren't actually shutting down if you save the flight with the engines running... :-?

Well, what I like to do is to shut off the engine take some static shots and then fire 'em back up and get going....Do you mean I save the flight when the engines are running, then turn off the engines, and then re-load the flight? While that is a rather good idea, it will be a hassle trying to save a flight from different airports...LOL... ;)

...what I would try..........if you want a quick getaway just sometimes but not every time you fly get to the Active and when just ready for take off with Engines running save the flight with an appropriate name like "Ready for Takeoff"...then when you want to get away without the hassle of starting up from cold, just "select" that flight from the menu. ...seems OK to me...saved flights start from the point where you saved them ...if the engines were running they should be running when you select that flight........might not work with the Payware but just try it....nothing ventured....as they say!....commoner ;)

I have just saved the same flight twice with and without engines........two different names for the flights........worked just fine!

Well, here's what I meant...Let's say I start a flight at Airport A...I turn off the engines at Airport A and save the flight...Then I quit FS...I then comeback to FS and start another flight at Airport B...This time, I save the flight with engines running at Airport B...Then, I want to take some static shots...I load the saved flight from Airport A...Will the sim take me to Airport A or will it just load the aircraft? I rarely save my flights so please bear with me :-/

get to the Airport and the status of the engines that you want.......Save it and give it a name you want to remind you what it is.........then any time you want to go back to that situation you can just select that flight...........do that as many times as you wish..............just try it ASH you won't break anything.........commoner ;D

REMEMBER though that when you start the sim you will first go to the DEFAULT flight......... ;)
