FN-333 Italian floatplane problem...

Postby microlight » Fri Oct 19, 2007 11:47 am

... it's a great little plane (don't tell Fozzer!) but I can't work something out on it. I can lower the wing floats and land in the water, but after I take off again, they won't retract. What do I need to be doing, because with the floats down, there's too much drag to stay in the air for long!

Thanks all.

Hello Micro...;)..!

On the left-hand side of the Cockpit you will notice a length of string wound around a rivet.
Attached to the string is a lead weight, with the other end attached to the outboard Floats.
Unwind the string, and this will allow the weight to fall, thus causing the outboard Floats to retract.

...probably... ::)...!

F....;)...;)...;)...!

(I had to re-load the aircraft to get it to lift off the water, so if there is another method, either that the "string technique", I would also be glad to hear about it...).... :-*...!

Ho there Mic.........if like me you have the FN33.zip from here on SimV  2004 Props page 155 then I have no problem with the raising or lowering the floats........forward slash (/) toggles them up or down for me......just a quick blip is all that it takes, no more or you get them going back up/down again..........hope that helps as I don't see a problem unless you have a different model.............(that or the lead weight fell off   :P)

see yah....commoner ;)

Thanks, commoner - works a treat!

Mind you, being Welsh, I can confirm that we have other things to do with bits of string... but then you being on the Welsh Marches Paul, you'd know about that!

;D
