Logbooks

Postby RAFAIR100 » Sat Sep 01, 2007 8:55 am

I have two installations of fs9 in seperate partitions of my hard disk.     Piston aircraft are on disc C and jets on disk K.         I attempted to log jet flight time in Logbook 2 which I created but all flights are being recorded in the standard logbook for disc C.          Can anyone advise how to provide seperate log books for piston and jet flights, ie one for disc C and one for disc K?

You will want to create two separate log books from within FS2004.

1)  Start a flight in FS2004 (any flight will do).  When the flight finishes loading and starts up, press the 'alt' key to open the menu bar.

2) In the menu bar, select the "Options" drop down menu.  In the "Options" menu, select "Logbook".

3) In the Logbook menu, select "Add Logbook".  Using this command, you can create different logbooks for your different aircraft.  When you are adding an entry for your current flight, simply choose which logbook you wish to use from the logbook menu.

What is great is that the logbook menu will allow you create various logbooks and add and edit your entries specific to each logbook.

Hope this helps.

Darrin, Thank you for your helpful reply.     As soon as I resolve a glitch in my system, I'll give it a try.
