I have been testing Alphasims SR71 Blackbird when this problem happened. The A/C seems to fly normally intill you set up for landing, but when you put in the second flaps setting it immediately takes off into overspeed and is uncontrollable. This is with the autopilot on. This is a new one on me. Anyone got a solution.    :o :-/

The flap controls on that bird actually control the engine inlet cones. The cones movement increases  or decreases the amount of thrust the engines produce, much like the real SR-71. I don't believe there are flaps on that aircraft. (not Alphasims model anyway)

Thanks. problem solved. The air file shows no flaps but the cfg file shows 3 flap settings. I have another blackbird model that does have flaps. that got me confused. The  Alphasim read me does briefly mention about the inlet spikes to be used at high altitudes to increase airspeed so I cant say I wasnt warned.  :)

The SR71 doesn't have flaps, the flap keys are just used to vary the inlet spikes. Don't use them on landing.
