Hi I am new to the forum and I searched but couldn't find anything on this subject.
So here goes;
I have recentley downloaded Pierre Marchadier's Mirage 2000 with the ejector seats. But I dont know how to work them I have installed it and have tried the shift + E combo but after a look through the manual and readme I could not think of any more. Could anyone help me?

Thanks Oblivion

I do not have the plane you talk about and have never heard of one with working ejector seats but if was modeled into the plane it should work you might try using the keystroke(s) that activate the tail hook or wing fold functions as these are more commonly used for odd things like this. 8-)

It's the tailhook  ;)

They're a few planes with built in ejector seats available on this site;

One is a B-57 I believe, another is a MiG-29... and the last one I know of is this Mirage 2000  :)

If you look in the readme file there is normally instructions. You might have to set a certain key to make it work. I've not used this particular model.

Interesting, I have the MiG-29 that's mentioned above. I don't know how this technique was made, but this is what happens:
First, I didn't use anything like a fold-wings or tailhook key, why should I?!
I just noticed that I can open the canopy normally on ground (with Shift+E) , but if I fly, the canopy blows up and away, the ejectio seat with pilot flies away and my machine gets uncontrollabele and crashes :D
Very realistic! But it's not very fun to reload the whole flight.......  ::) ;D

Oblivion,

Ask away, ask away!  Your question was not petty in the least!  I didn't even know we had aircraft with functioning ejection seats, so far from being petty, your question was the catalyst for a very informative thread!  Even though I have been using Flight Simulator off-and-on for the past three years, I learn something new all the time.  I have learned that asking questions and also looking through the questions other people have is a great way to add to what I know and can do.  And your question helped me learn something new.

BTW, welcome to SimV.  It just gets crazier much more fascinating from here!

All the best,
~Darrin

Oblivion ask away, we were all newbies once upon a time. And if you don't ask you don't learn (you can tell I'm a teacher can't you?) ;) ;D
