Didn't like the default ATR42 in FS9 (sounded like an RC model and King Air panel), so I replaced it with this one from avsim.com. Better sound, better panel.

Problem is I can't explain the white jagged line on the de-icing boot on the left wing. I have another ATR42 that has the same jagged line, yet they're two different models.

I didnt know FS9 had a default ATR.

Could be a texture or a model error, otherwise i wouldnt really see how it could be there.

Did that, now it's a straight line.

Pepper is probably right - a texture or modeling error.

That's okay. There's more ATR42's around And yes, I did download the ATR42 which I originally thought was a default AC.

I can't believe you are going to ditch that beautifull aircraft for such a minor, minor texture problem. If all my aircraft looked that good I would be a happy man!

Personally, I would be more concerned about a blown circuit breaker for the heater in the boot... ...!

I understand where you're coming from, Zaphod!

Chances are the designer overlooked this or maybe they didn't care.

Other problems I've seen: I just downloaded another texture for my Beech 18. Funny thing was the tires were white. No wheel texture (no anything else for that matter). Fixed it by copying the textures from the original AC and saying no to overwriting. I had another problem with a Electra 10 without the prop texture. Did the same thing with it. Problem fixed. What these examples point to may be poor oversight or lack of knowledge by the designer. I don't mean to suggest that anyone who designs them should be a bloody perfectionist, but it's not unusual for me to delete an AC within minutes/hours of setting it up.

Now I know what you're thinking - put yourself in the designer's seat and build one yourself. As it is, I am interested in doing that somewhere down the line. More than likely, it will be a texture, not a whole plane.  Since this site is set up for me to accomplish such a task, I know where to go if I have a question about doing it.
