can anyone advise please ,is it possible to reduce the engine sound levels within the cockpit alone on aft mounted aircraft by modding the sound files.cockpit sounds on aft engine aircraft should be much quiter than on wing mounted engines. obviously its possible to reduce engine sound using  the settings drop down menue, but this reduces the overall level.  its still nice to hear a loud external sound but the levels are much too high within the cockpit.  i use the sound file by alejandro rojas 2006 on eric cantue.s 727-200  thanks to any advice given appreciated , beeman 37.

I'm interested in this too. Personally I find ALL the cockpit engine noises to be unrealistically loud.

While in game to go Settings - Sound then turn the cockpit bar down and the engines or what else you want. Thats how it reduces with me.

You can mod any sound file's volume easily with the default Windows "Sound Recorder" program.
