I am looking for a installer program that is free and works well to help me install planes, gauges, and the other stuff. I know how to drag and drop files but that is time draning, I would like to just do one click installs. Also I found 3 files in my aircraft folder, I need to know do this 3 folders belong in the aircraft folder. The folders are default, fsfsconv, and templates, I just need to know if they are to be there by default.

The three files you mentioned need to be in the aircraft folder so you better leave them there. About an installer, I haven't got a clue. I don't think there is something like that.
Good luck,

There are some add-ons that come with auto-install programs. For example, all of the i_Fly add-ons I have ever downloaded come with an auto-install. So, you may want to check your downloads to see if they have this feature or not. Also, payware add-ons are more likely to come with their own auto-installers for their specific add-ons.
Beyond that, most add-ons are quite the custom jobs, especially if you are using freeware. Most will require that you tweak with your files manually to greater or lesser degrees. Furthermore, add-ons are developed by many various people and groups, and make use of many different techniques. An auto-installer that manages all of those different variables without serious conflict is not feasible.
To lessen the effects of time drain, you may simply want to install just a few things at a time. Instead of downloading and installing 100 new aircraft in a day, just try 1 a day. Or, simply prioritize and download what you need/want when you are going to use it.
In the long run, to get the most out of Flight Simulator, you will need a bit of patience and time, and this includes installing add-ons. It seems like a fair trade off to be able to have a simulator that is so readily open to add-ons in the first place, ne?
Good luck!

I for one stay away from such programs as they do not all-ways do what you want them to do. There are several hanger programs out there that allows you to down load aircraft it then puts them in a folder and then you click on install or some other word and the hanger program will put it in FS for sounds great. But [glow=yellow,2,300]You know the old saying about something that sounds to good to be true[/glow] well it can apply here the problem with some of these programs is that when they install the aircraft they have a nasty habit of overwriting files and creating havoc with you game. Now mind you there are a few that actually work quite well. But the best way to handle downloading aircraft is to make yourself a folder outside of FS call it what ever you want then download all of your aircraft to that folder then it is just a matter of dragging the files over to FS. This is truly the best and safe est way to do this. Any other way and you could be taking a chance of running something in your game.
Just look at all of the post made here about problems when installing ad dons using some kind of a program or self installer. The only self installer programs I trust are the ones that come with payware software. 8-)
