mixture and prop axes not responding

Postby farmerdave » Fri Jul 20, 2007 11:43 am

I have set the slider on my joystick to the mixture and one of the knobs to the propellor, and they won't respond.  These controls work fine on the calibration screen and in other games, so the problem is with flight simulator.  I messed with the numbers for these axes in fs9.cfg and got the mixture to respond, but it won't go all the way to full or cutoff.  The prop still won't move at all.  The key commands work fine.

These are the values I have in now

AXIS_EVENT_04=AXIS_PROPELLER_SET
AXIS_SCALE_04=64
AXIS_NULL_04=36
AXIS_EVENT_06=AXIS_MIXTURE_SET
AXIS_SCALE_06=64
AXIS_NULL_06=36

Any help is appreciated

A silly thought but in the settings when you've assigned a button or slider from the stick in FS on the right of that is a little blue and white slide-bar. You need to have it set to all blue to get response as configured or else keep jabbing the button etc ;)

I know what you're talking about but the sliders don't seem to be there.

You've got 1 more step to do.

After youve made the assignments in the Controls>Assignments window you have to then set the sliders in the Controls>Sensitivities window.
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks for the help.  I increased the sensitivity and got rid of the null zones on both axes, and the mixture works now, but the propellor still doesn't. :-?

Don't know if this will help, for comparison

Values recorded using the sensitivity settings for axes assigned on my x-45.
