Was just wondering how long people like to fly (and where).
My longest is 9hours and like 10 mins (Hong Kong - Brisbane), and i've flown just about from most continents.
I love the variety of flyinf from Africa or South America, north to the States or Europe:p

My flights are always short hops from one airfield to the next, in small GA Piston Props, Cessna 152 to Beech Baron 58, over a period of one hour maximum...

..any longer, and I get bored to tears, and go out side and mow the Lawn instead...

....or drop off to sleep on the settee..(which is preferable!)...;)..!

(Most of my flights are actually logged on another Server).

Paul...G-BPLF... 8-)...!

couple of hours max, coming to terms with VOR navigation and line up.
last flight took me about 2 hours Mendoza to Santiago via Curico all done with VOR no GPS  (well maybe a little to see i was on the right course)..

When I did my around-the-world trip in a Howard 500, I spent a great deal of time over water, so I found myself getting up to do something else like watching tv or getting a snack. I mean what are you going to do at 10,000 ft over the Pacific Ocean island hopping back to your original point of departure?

My longest flight in this aircraft is 7.3 hours flying from the Solomon Islands to Wake Island. Had 140 gallons left in the tanks (less than 1 hour of fuel).

Haha about the 5 to 1 hour marker.  I don't have the patience, though I do have to finish my flights.  I do do the occasional long flight, but only if they're planned or are missions (on FSX).

What do you do? Keep navigating, communicating, and monitoring your instruments like a pilot should... :P

:D  I like to mix them up.  Longest is a touch over 3 hrs.  I have made a slew of airports all over the U.S., put proper buildings on them with EZ Scenery, made flight plans so they would have air traffic and flew accross country stopping at the ones on my route.  It's kinda nice to line up on a runway I built.

Can't argue with that. I just hate hearing ATC telling me to go to the same frequency 4 times in 10 minutes even after acknowledging their request. After that many times I acknowledge one last time and wait until I'm 30 miles from my destination before making contact with that airport.

My longest was 3 hours, KJFK to KMIA in a 737-700  ;)

My "average" flight is anywhere between 15 minutes (Testing a new plane, for example), to about an hour.

My favorite flight of all is KEDW (Edwards AFB) to KLSV (Nellis AFB), with a possible detour to Tonopah on the way  ;)

I usually like to keep my flights under one hour long, although my longest ever flight was around 3 hours crossing the Atlantic in Concorde. I prefer to fly regional short haul flights around the UK and I sometimes nip over to Europe. I use FS Passengers for all my airline flights. :)

15.6 Hours...

OMDB-KJFK in the wonderful CLS A340-500 in the Emirates livery...This is a real route that too takes around 14-15 hours...My...it was fun...and may I also add that it was the longest time ever that my copy of FS9 did not crash...I simply slept on the bed next to the PC...Whenever, ATC called, I simply followed...I love flying long haul...So much scenery changes, so much traffic around you over the Atlantic...Lots of fun... ;)

You must be a light sleeper to hear ATC calling you ;D

At least you completed the flight 8-) Congratulations!
