Hi all,

Do a whole computer scan with your anit virus program and it should show whats niggling at it. There is usally something there stopping it that you don't know about.

What condition are the install disks in? There are usually only two reasons for this kind of error, A) The cd is scratched or damaged, or B) The cd-rom drive itself is bad. Most of the computer hardware I use is used or second-hand, and I've see this before. If you have a different cd-rom drive you could use, try swapping it out. I think you'll find that's where the problem lies. You don't have problems with your "c" drive other than the error you mentioned do you? (e.g. saving other things to disk?)

Groudbound is on the right track here. The error you are getting is more than likely caused by a dirty or scratched install cd.
You have to remember that as a program installs it reads files in sequence so if the the outer part of the cd is dirty or scratched it will have no problems with files on the inner part of the disks but it will more than likely give you a error or crash when it gets to the dirty or scratched section. 8-)
