In settings-display-aircraft with the reflections box checked some of the aircraft are a little to bright for me. Is there a way to tone this down some?

Yes there is but I think that is a hell of a lot of work. You could try to change the Alpha channel in the aircraft's textures with a tool called DXTBMP. It what we Dutch call a 'monks job', but if editing and painting aircraft is your cuppa tea then you might actually enjoy it ...

And you could also try flying in the dark.

Harold.....don't like flying in the dark much and I am not very bright about this computer stuff, so guess I'll do with it as is.

No probs ... just to be sure you might want to ask cloud9flyer. He's a repainter ans has more knowledge than I have on this subject.

Right-click on the Desktop....
Properties > Settings > Advanced > Gamma Correction..... ...!

Adjust to suit Colour/Brightness/Contrast/etc..... ...!

I use this method to brighten up the countryside scenery in the Summer Months......!
