FS 2004
When I go to map view or advanced weather FS 2004 locks up and crashes.
Any help would be most appreciated in fixing this very annoying problem.
Thanks

Did you update FS9 to version 9.1? That might cause a problem ...
And do you use any add-ons that we should know of? Any weather packages for instance?
Try analyzing when the problem started to occur and think if you installed anything before that happened?
That might give you a hint on what would be causing the problem ...

Thanks for the info.
I've removed all add ons, and re-installed countless times. The problem is intermittent but more often than not going into map view and advanced weather will make it lock up.

What if you cleaned your registry with CCleaner and/or Registry Mechanic after you removed Flight Simulator?
There might be something in your registry that Flight Simulator does not like.
Also ... check out
this link.
It probably won't solve your problem but I won't hurt either

I dont know what this process does but i think its fixed the problem. The computer seems much faster and smoother in operation.
