I was recently having CTD Problems in FS, but I found I had Left an objects.dp folder in the directory from when I installed an ALPHA freeware Phantom. I deleted this, but I have since had the problem of FS refusing to start, and It just sits at the splash screen. I tried a trick someone on the alphasim forums after i had a non start problem- renaming the fs9.cfg and restarting, but that hasn't worked. any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Jon,
That type of symptom is usually telling you that the last thing you installed screwed something up.
Uninstall whatever you LAST did.... and see if that helps. You might have to delete the fs9.cfg AFTER taking out the last addon too.
If that fixes it....... forget the addon unless you have extra time on your hands to muck about with it.

best,
.................john

Try what JBaymore said to do first and if that doesn't work try uninstalling and then reinstalling FS.

Have you tried replacing the file that you think it causing this?
I doubt that this could be causing the problem as it is not vital to FS itself, but it's worth a shot. ;)

I found a DLL that seems to have caused the problem. Is anyone familliar with bglman.dll? It was causing FS9 to Crash after going off the splash screen.

That is from Cloud9 sceneries and I have heard the people at cloud 9 designed it to cause FS to CTD or freeze if an illegal copy of any of their sceneries were found.

Hmmm... The only thing I had from them was a Phantom Demo I downloaded from their site.
