My ground flickers.  It is very weird and VERY annoying.  Anyone know why?

I get some ground flicker when in virtual cockpit view, all aircraft, but none in spot or straight ahead 2d.

I have learned to use the old celluloid movie film trick, Jake....

I bat my eyelids very fast, synchronised in time with the flicker, so that the scenery appears to be smooth.

...does it for me, Mate!... ;)...!

Paul.... ;)... ;)... ;)...!

Screenshots wont show anything.  It's not blury, its very clear, it just flickers.  I don't know how else to explain it.  Its like a strobe light almost only everything still moves smoothly

On my rig if i turn the mipmap (i think its called this, i'll check later i know its on the hardware page in display --> settings) level up past 4/5 out of 8 the gound flickers and sort of shimmers.

Mine is set at 4...I don't know what it is, maybe my settings are TOO high?

I guess I'll try to create a new CFG and then not do any tweaks, that could be part of the problem...

I have seen this before with some graphics cards, try updating the drivers and see if it goes away. Seems kinda silly but it might work. If all else fails use the fozzer method of computer graphics repair!

Try turning down the mip mapping to 3.

Yea, that seems to be the only solution but unfortunately it makes everything a little blurry.

Graphic driver problem?

I had a similar problem with grainy-ness a while back  :)
