Are there any suggestions for someone with a low end computer so that maybe I could turn a unnecessary graphic setting to off or Min. and turn up another setting that is more visible without the framerate hit??? I only have a

PIII 1.0Ghz
512 MB RAM
128 FX5200 PCI video
60 GB HD

Any Suggestions are greatly appreciated!!! 8-)

The first and most effective thing is to turn off all background programs you don't need. After that we'll need more specific system specs to help you tweak

OK thanks! Here is a little more info. I don't really know what you mean by more specific but here goes:

PIII 1.0Ghz  (HP Vectra VL 400)
512 MB RAM
128 FX5200 PCI video
60 GB HD
Win XP Pro SP2

Don't knock that John, I've got similar specs (except a Ti4600 graphics card) and I can still get 20-25 FPS most of the time in FS running at 1280*1042 at 32 colours in FS. Just takes a LOT of time and twiddling

When i hear this... I can never understand why I can't get better performance out of MY specs (see below).    As far as I am concerend.... my results are STILL unacceptable.  And I've tweaked the CRAP out of things.  Sigh...........

Maby a hardware component is failing on you?

I had times when i could max out everything on the 5200, so hold up your hope! I can imagine though that the processor is rather weak.

It is literally a question of try one thing, if it works keep it if not bin it. It took me over a year to get FS9 that good. Out of the box it was less than impressive. But I kept trying things and seeing what worked and what didn't........

Yeah, its an ongoing battle.
