If the props not turning at all check that Ctrl+E is still assigned to 'Engine Autostart'.

Or if you've been 'engines off-systems on', or were 'engine running-systems on', but alternator/generator off, you may have a low/dead battery. FS9 batteries are known for short life.

If prop turns but no-start, check that your mixture control (red handled knob or lever) is set to 'full rich' (ctrl+shft+F4).***Edit, but I see Gary beat me to it.   ;)

I suggest you check the mixture setting. If you start up FS in a cold and dark cockpit then the mixtures will be set to cut off on propeller aircraft. And you can crank untill your battery dies and the engine will never start. The mixtures will have to be adjusted as you climb as well so if you have never flown a propeller aircraft before then you need to check out the learning center and it will explain all of this to you. 8-)

...and if the prop is turning, but the engine wont fire-up, make sure the "Mixture Control" isn't pulled out to the "Weak Cut-Off" position....

..often a problem if the previous aircraft was shut down correctly using the Mixture knobs, and you try to start up a "new" aircraft....;)...!

Push the Mixture Control fully in/forward to start.

Three "M"s. Master, Mix, Mags.

Prime if necessary, mixture full rich, throttle out 1/4, master on, crank. Don't forget to do your run-up before taking the active!  8-)
