I can't seem to get overcast. Only broken clouds. Even when ATIS says overcast it is not visually overcast. Any ideas??

Ok time out! If the ATIS says the weather is overcast and you do not see the clouds then something is wrong here and it has nothing to do with real world weather at all. I suggest you check out where your cloud draw limits are set and the other weather related sliders. If the ATIS says it is over cast then are not having problems downloading weather. The problem is displaying it correctly. Also make sure your clouds are set to complex. 8-)

Also some types of overcast are video card dependent to display accurately, I think.

I would not think so unless you have the worlds worst card. Unless you are trying to duplicate real complex clouds your video card would not make that much differance you should still see something, might not look like a cloud but there should be something there. On the other hand if you sliders and cloud draw distance are set to close to where you are at Example say 5 to 10 NM then you are not going to see a whole lot of clouds. I would suggest you set you draw distance to at least 50 NM then go from there. Granted the more clouds you display the more it will take from your frame rates so a descent card would help. I would say at least 128 mb ram and at least a AGP slot card or a PCI EXPRESS. I would not recomend a regular PCI card even though that would be better than the onboard graphics that come on most mother boards. 8-)

Thank you everybody. I will check out my settings.
Everything works fine on my FS2002. It's just FS2004 that I can't
seem to get the overcast on.
Thanks again, I will report back.

Hey, that did help. I now have overcast, real overcast. Too bad it slows
my computer down so much though. I guess it did automatically figure
my computer was too slow for that. I guess I'll have to get new one before
I buy FS-X.

Thank you
