Help Needed to Get Rid of "Ground Creep"

Postby exnihilo » Fri Jun 01, 2007 8:19 pm

On several planes, I've encountered a tendency of the aircraft to "creep" forwards even when the parking brake is on, and the engine is just at idle.  If the brake is released, the plane starts moving at a surprisingly fast speed.  This occurs with the engine at idle.  The one I'm having a problem with right now is a freeware DHC-3 Otter which was originally developed for FS2002.  This Otter is a simple piston powered plane, although the problem has also occurred with turboprops.  I think, but I'm not sure, this problem does seem to occur mostly on planes moved to FS2004 from FS2002.  Is there a general fix anyone has come across to fix this?

I second the calibrate trick, but if that doesn't work, you might want to go into the aircraft config and play around with the amount of engine output.
