I was thinking of downloading the VOZ Australia scenery and i wanted to know how you think about it. Is it an auto install? What affects will it have on FPS? Do i need to download from the first package to get it to work? And is it simply the best freeware for Australia?

Thanks just wanting to know what you think. :)

Do it, Alex.... ;)...!

It's amazing. The scenery effects cover not only Australia, but also the rest of the World that you visit.
You get a set of realistic, colourful "Koorbygen" buildings, a nice new Tree set, and roads with "vehicles" on them, plus lots of other goodies..!!

Your overall scenery and effects will be greatly enhanced with the VOZ Scenery installed... :)...!

Note: Always read the instructions supplied before installing, and during the use of the program..;)...!

Have loads of fun with VOZ... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!

Paul...Suitably VOZ'd... 8-)...!

P.S. Many thanks to the VOZ Team...;)...!

Voz is amazing! I love it and use it about 50% of the time, even though I've never been to Australia. Just check out the Vista Australis site gallery and see. Tons of airports, some very detailed with cars and stuff, beautiful textures, some photoreal areas, many cities have CBDs and night lighting modeled...and there are four regions each with a very distinctive look. A whole continent of mountains, deserts, coasts, bush strips and huge INtls to land on - and it keeps getting better and better. 1.5 for FS9 is now being worked on. And the payware version for FSX is going to make me buy FSX just by itself. Check out ORBX simulations' website for some screenies... http://www.orbxsystems.com/

Some things to consider though -

- Like Fozzer says, read the instructions carefully.
- You need to install 1.1, 1.2, 1.21,. 1.3 and 1.4 one after the other. It's a self-installer.
- You need Microsoft.net 1.1 or higher for the 'VOZ switcher' to work - it changes between your normal textures and the four sets of regional textures in VOZ
- Be aware that the textures will be applied to the whole world. The building autogen looks great (Koorbygen) and there's a file of alternative trees so you can use the red VOZ textures in Nevada but not have eucalyptus. New Zealand, South Africa and many other places look fine with VOZ textures, all tropical regions too. Northern regions look the worst, and also desert areas which are not bright red

Cool... how much does it put a dent in FPS?

Well, as far as I know, none as regards the normal textures. They are just alternatives. If you fly over a really detailed area, e.g. Brisbane, then it eats a lot of FPS just like anywhere else.  :)

Just as Krigl states...!

No adverse effects on my frame rates in California....or anywhere else!... 8-)...!

Only my own "add-on" scenery slows "things" down slightly...!

For all the Low and Slow Pilots out there...;)...!

...DO IT!....DO IT!... 8-)...!

Paul.... 8-)...!
