How would FS2004 run on this?

Postby J41 » Mon May 28, 2007 5:57 am

Hi Guys

I was thinking about having my current 3 year old PC upgraded but it may be easier & cheaper just to get another built, how would FS9 run with something like this:

Something like: AMD 64 X 2-6000
3gb memory
300gb hard drive
GeForce 8800 GT

:-?

I wouldn't have the foggiest but, by the looks of those I wouldn't even try.

Just eat you'r computer or give it to the dogs and get a new one.  ;D

My opinion. But what do I know.

Your FS 2004 will run fantastically on a system with that specification... 8-)...!

Remember, we are talking about FS 2004...NOT FSX!.. (which is a completely different kettle of Fish)...!!

FS 2004 will run on most of today's, and most of yesterdays, computer specs...;)...!

Paul...Have Fun with FS9!... 8-)...!

That computer will whizz through FS9 without breaking a sweat..

The only thing I'd worry about is how that 3GB of RAM is installed.

If it's three, 1GB sticks; you might be better off with just 2GB installed symetrically (i.e.  slots 1 & 3 ..  or 2 & 4)..  It depends on the mother-board..

I say FS9 should work well on your computer. FS9 doesn't need that strong of a machine to run it fully maxed out. Heck i sometimes run FS9 like FS8. ;)

:D Thats a very good build for FSX I am sure. Built by yourself of course? Maybe you need two monitors eh.
My system is inferior to the one you spec, :o and wow I get good frame rates
