Wierd things happening...

So last night I downloaded the X-35B from this site. When I went to fly it from Seattle-Tacoma the sim crashed! It just shut down. Now a thing like this happened about 20 minutes before when I was flying a Hawker Osprey also found on the site (Great Plane! Should download!) from the addon scenery of the Doolittle raid also found here. Could someone tell me what this is?
Also about 4 days ago I got a popup during my flight (flying the AJ 37 Viggen also found here also really nice bird that should be downloaded) that said I was out of memory on the disk. I was hving trouble that day since the elevators on the Viggen would only move about 4 degrees. I deleted some old planes and some addon scenery and this was fixed. Could this do with the above paragraph or did Boeing tip off Microsoft to not allow any Lock-Mart aircraft to fly over Seattle...
P.S. If any one can send me a detailed PM of how to get textures on aircraft that would be appreaciated.

Give a physical look to your videocard's fan and your CPU fan. The problems you seem to suffer seem like those of overheat of one or the other (and if you're a lucky guy, both) said elements.
Keep in mind that seeing the fan rotate means little, as the heat dissipative metal could be clogged by dust or other material that doesn't allow for a good passage of coolant air. Try spraying compressed air on the fan (bottles of compressed air for this duty can be bought from the hardware shop under your home, if you don't have a power air compressor) to force unclog them.
For last try to fly with the case of your PC open, to maximize cooling effect.
Try that and let us know how it went.

Well I deleted the JSF. I went back to Seattle in a C172 and it flew fine. Now as for my Osprey I went to the Doolittle Raid Addon scenery flew for a while then went to land tailhook down, osprey has no flaps and I tested for an airbrake. Then after pressing the "/" on my keyboard it froze!

Are you sure you don't have a... unwanted guest on board?
If, as I hope, you're clean under that point of view, try doing like already suggested and, seen that you're there, consider updating the videocard driver (which is never a bad idea, unless your videocard is so old that new drivers only bog it down).

you mean a virus? I scanned when I turned the PC on. nothing. And as far as I know the Video Card has never overheated. Then again it is a Dell. [smiley=embarassed.gif] [smiley=cheesy.gif]

I had a very similar problem about a year ago. If your are lucky, you don't have what i had. Basically, these sorts of problems occur, so I go to get a new driver for the card. Under advice from nVidia, I turned off my firewall. This activated a virus, or some thing. It opened 100+ pornographic popups, set my screensaver to porn, and disabled most of my settings and desktop. In the end, I wiped my hard disk. It was way easier than cleaning the reg, disk and whatever. So all I'm saying is, be careful. And it's always a good idea to back up every thing on a external drive (don't always leave them connected if you can help it) or dvds, like i do.
Before I wiped the disk, I treid several anti virus programs. Norton and McAffe don't detect it. AntiVir did, but it was the last i used, and I had porn on just about every folder. It was just too late.

Disable the Firewall? Why don't you get a cheap tanto and do harakiri directly instead? A very sharp 20cm long knife is about as good, in absence of a tanto.

I can't believe Nvidia told you to off the firewall... wait... I remember that a little before the turn of the millennium I downloaded the then newest drivers for the videocard I had at the time (a 16Mb Matrox Millennium II) from the Matrox site. I installed them trusting blindly the guys in Matrox and found out on my skin that the package had a virus inside. Was one hell of a problem.

Act like I did not write the previous paragraph. I CAN believe it alright.
