Hi Jo.....not posted for a while but noticed no one had given you any help so you could do this.......

Back up the panel.cfg in case you mess up and make a new one using this text....hope you are capable of this little task. The additions are actually borrowed from the c172 default panel. You might also want to move things around to suit your taste. You could compare it with the original to see what I have changed......... good luck.............commoner ;)

If you want a program that makes panel editing very easy than check out the link below
www.fspanelstudio.com

Granted this is a payware program but it is by far the easiest way to edit or make new panels as you see exactly what you are doing as you work with the actual panel and to add any gauge you just select the gauge you want to add then click on it and drag it to where you want it at and that is it. Save the changes and when you start up FS the gauge will be exactly where you put it.
There used to be a freeware program that worked the same way but since FS2004 came out it was replaced with this program. The older program would not read or correct XML files.
This program is completely compatible with FSX as well and it is well worth the money. 8-)

I heard about Glenn Copeland's gauges after getting fspanelstudio & did a search for them here.  They come with tutorials to help to get you started & I'm now tailoring panels all the time.
