I installed a Piaggio P180 mod yesterday and when I try to fly it, I get a series of messages saying it can not find the gauges. I have checked and all the gauges that I get an error on, and they are installed in my FS9/Gauges folder. Just to make sure I also copied the gauges in the aircraft's folder too
Any ideas?

Thanks

Make sure the spelling and punction is correct in the aircraft cfg file. I had this happen to me in one plane the punction was not correct when it called for a gauge in a cab file.
[glow=yellow,2,300]Example the B747.cab gauge has several gauges in it so when you want to use one you need to use the ! punction in the correct place or the gauge will not show up.[/glow]
If you look at the aircraft cfg file of the default B747 you will see what I am talking about.

Oops :P Silly me I do not know what I was thinking or was I. :-X
 Any rate below is a example of what I was talking about Notice the[glow=yellow,2,300]![/glow] it is this symbol that I have seen mistaken for ' and the gauge will not show up if this is the case. As for case sensitive I had a least one file that had this problem. So it certainly would not hurt to make the case the same ::)

gauge00=737-400!Airspeed, 0, 64

Hello again.
I have not had a chance to uninstall this plane and download it again, but I did try the plane again and got the same bad gauges messages. All the other planes I have downloaded work fine.
I think my first step is to remove plane and reload. (Its the one on page 57 (the 30 meg one) and not the one on page 84 (5 meg) Which one are people using?
Next I will check the panel.cfg file.

I am new to FS2004 and to the forum, but not new to sims or to FS, though it has been many years since I have flown on fs. The quantity and quality of the add ons is amazing.

Thanks for the help. I will be back on in a few days to let you know how it went.

That's the one I tried. It works fine for me. There is no need to check the Panel.cfg or anything else.

Gauges don't usually give error messages. They either display or they don't . There are 51 gauges (50x GAU files + 1x CAB file) in this package in a folder named Gauges. To install them you can either paste them into the Panel folder of the P180 or the FS9\Gauges folder. They will be recognised in either location.

PS. Find the folder named Gauges in the package & open it. Click Edit/Select All & paste the complete contents into the P180 Panel folder (or FS9\Gauges).
