After much experimenting with various packages I've come up with this combination:
Main water textures (0*b2wa.bmp): Default*
Inland water textures (0*b2wa.bmp):
Inland Water - Adan Arif
Reflections effects (env_*.bmp and OceanHeightField.bmp): Modified from
Real environment Pro - Tim Fuchs
Water details (water_detail*.bmp and water_detailR*.bmp):
Aquarama - Adan Arif
River and shoreline textures (rivers.bmp, shore.bmp etc):
Perfect water - Davide Scotti
*This eliminates any jagged lines in the distance where the texture quality changes.
Here's an idea of what it looks like:
1 - Mid day
2 - High moon
3 - Low moon
4 - Low sun
5 - Overcast
6 - Sunset
